Guatemala
International Development Project
with your help we have…
trained 50 women
from low socio-economic
backgrounds to gain employment
in the healthcare sector.
The project.
Our latest international development partnership focuses on unlocking education and economic opportunities for women who live in ‘basurero’ (rubbish dump communities) in Guatemala City. A large group of these women are of indigenous Mayan descent.
Since 2023, 50 women have undertaken industry training with course completion requiring 400 hours of technical training and 250 hours of job placement. There has been a 85% job success rate upon graduation.
