Who We Are.
Relief. Education. Development.
Are our three pillars to achieve lasting improvement for
disadvantaged individuals and families in Australia and overseas.
Our Story.
We are an Australian Not-for-Profit Organisation that is dedicated to building promising futures for people who are marginalised or suffering the effect of economic or social exclusion in developing countries overseas and in Australia.
Internationally we currently extend support to four developing countries, the Philippines, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.
Since 1994 through partnered projects, we have assisted women and children in 12 countries across 20 established projects.
Our Mission.
To build a promising future for marginalised communities by:
alleviating immediate needs through relief efforts.
reducing barriers to social and economic inclusion through projects aimed at employment and income stability.
support long-term endeavours for lasting generational change through skill-based education.
Partnership Approach.
Reledev achieves its mission by equipping and energising selected in-country organisations through a formal partnership arrangement.
Though a medium-long term partnerships Reledev works to foster best practice, a researched development approach to build programs in country.
A focus on increasing the partner’s ability to attract their own in-country financial and community support.
Engaging Australians.
Focus on communicating the values of development and responsibility for global concerns through:
Overseas service project with young Australians
Fundraising for relief and development support and
Engaging young people in mentoring support for refugee and migrant youth within Australia
Why support Reledev.
Reledev is a very small organisation, operating on minimal number of necessary staff – relying on in-country organisations to implement projects. We believe this maximizes benefits overseas rather than being caught in administrative costs in Australia.
